Introduction (45 minutes) followed by case studies: • What are the "protected grounds"? • Protected groups - "perceived" and "by association" • Definition of disability, reasonable accommodation duty • Gender issues: Pregnancy and maternity, equal pay • Justification of age discrimination • Sexual orientation and pension rights • Religious symbols at work • Race and ethnic origin Nicola Braganza and Anna Śledzińska-Simon
